The UK market for household products was worth £3 billion in 2006, this representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 1.9% for the period spanning 2001-2006. In comparison, the German and US markets grew with CAGRs of 1.2% and 2.0% over the same period, and reached respective values of £3.3 billion and £9.5 billion in 2006.
The household products market consists of the total revenues generated through the sale of air fresheners, bleach, dishwashing products, furniture polish, general purpose cleaners, insecticides, scouring products, textile washing products and toilet care.
