Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) is a transitional economy with a stable microeconomic climate characterized by sustained stable currency and low inflation. It is a middle-income country with an official GDP per capita of USD 4,361 in 2010. Economic growth was mainly driven by reconstruction efforts, but as of late it is mostly driven by private sector investment.
In 2008 BiH signed the Stabilisation and Accession Agreement with the EU allowing for significant customs concessions for certain EU imports.
