Argentina offers a wide range of business opportunities and the UK is an important investor in Argentina. However as the 30th anniversary of the Falkland Islands conflict nears, we have been informed that the Argentine Government has been encouraging the largest importers of British goods to reduce their imports from the UK.
It is possible that this and other measures will dissuade local firms from doing business with the UK for at least the near future. UK companies will need to factor in these variables when engaging in the market.
